This is footage from the moment that Alfie was let loose in the park. After Matt’s failed attempts to catch him Masie had to step in. Yet again the problem with working with animals although after this he did behave well.

I recently decided that i would like to blog about our filming. To do so i was told i needed to put the video on YouTube and embed it into my blog. To do this i had to set up a YouTube account and upload it. After the fifth attempt of confirming my e-mail adress it finally let me into my accountant. As we speak i have uploaded my video but it is currently going through the YouTube cogs.

On Monday the 17th Nov we planned to film the live band performance. 3rd lesson we arranged to pick up the guitars and the microphone to get ready for 4th lesson when we would film. The actors were ready and waiting to go out into the aboretum in the Robert Smyth School. To our surprise the heavens opened and it started pouring down with rain. This gave us no choice but to cancell the filming.
We have arranged to film the band the fourth coming Monday. Hopefully this time it will not be raining. I will be personally checking the weather forecast for any signs of wet conditions.

Yesterday we started editing our footage for the first time. When looking back over our footage we discovered a few vital things. One of which is the fact that our video contains to much walking. This could bore the audiance. In order to overcome this we paln to edit the walking so we cut out parts of the steps the couple take. We will cut this t the beat of the song. This should make the walking scenes a bit more interesting for the audience.
Also, we discovered that in the park scene the girl and the boy are walking away from the camera to much and there are not enough close-ups of the couple. We may have to re-do this scene in order to avoid this problem!

Our planned filming session today had to be cancelled due to rain .We had all the props ready, the camera set up, with all our actors waiting but it started to rain and due to the fact we are filming outside it had to be postponed. Although this is obviously going to be a set back to the filming, we have re scheduled the session to next Monday, and in the time being we are going to concentrate on editing and setting up props, because we need to take some pictures for the film and things. There are also 2 other section we can film this week instead of the band section if we have time after the editing, however we will have to arrange this with the main actor.

Today we put the park scene that we filmed on Wednesday onto the mac and started to do a bit of editing. The footage is actually a lot better than we anticipated, the shots we included have worked really well and after editing the section it runs smoothly and the clips with the dog also work. We have now finished editing the first park scene section and have title each clip with the time it appears in the song, so that when we add more footage to the film we will now exactly were the clips should be and can move them back. In tomorrows double lesson we are going to finish editing the second park picnic section and then spend the rest of the time planning the next filming session and getting the props ready etc.

Today was supposed to be our day of recording the band but as it started to rain we had to change our plans. So instead we decided to make up for lost time from Thursday and edited the footage we recorded from the park scene.
This made for a unique experience as a lot of it was trial and error. Then the group had doubts about the whole idea and how it looked as a music video. We were then reassured that once we put the song behind it and had more footage it would start to come together.

Today we planned to film the band performing the song. For this we had too book the guitars to be borrowed from music, organise the band members and sort out what shots we were going to do. However, as we are filming the band outside as soon as it started raining we could no longer record.
This is a real problem for our time scale as we can’t get the band back together until next Monday. As we wanted to film a TV showing the bands performance we can no longer record the scene we were planning on filming on Thursday. This means we will have to change the order of filming.
