Filming has now frozen. Due to the current absence of Samuel Moxen we can not film anymore. This could set us back by about a week. This is a problem as this gives us less editing time to finish our movie, so our overall outcome could be worse off in the long run.
Filming has started A few weeks back.
We have started filming Silent Devices, which is josh coynes band. Who is obviously a member of our filming group. There are several shots and different images of the band. These shots have all added up to around 10 minutes altogether.
Below is a post that contains the lyrics of our chosen song. Looking at these lyrics have given us some ideas for imagery that are relevant to the lyrics.

The final lyric of the final verse, ”Fifteen steps, Then a sheer drop” Is an idea we are going to use, our main narrative is someone being followed, the way we are going to end it is by using the idea of a big drop to escape the follower. The video’s idea is to play with the idea of paranoia.
I researched the videos around the world that were chosen by MTV as the best commercial videos.
These comnmercial videos are videos that an average member of the public can somehow, even if the music is not what they are into at all, appreciate.

We have decided to cast Jake as the character being followed in this video, Sam will be the actor playing the part of the character that is following Jake.
I will play one of the performers in the performance scenes, aswell as some friends that we will get in to play the instruments. I believe for continuity, we should have seperate actors in the performance scenes to the acting scenes.
To help us come up with more ideas for the video i decided to look at the lyrics. i will dicuss these ideas with the group and blog them later

We will then have a shot of our band performing. Although in our video we hope to create a dark ambience and use obscure shots to add to the mood of the song.

We will go back to the 15 montage and the following scene many times and keep changing from scene to scene using these shots.
We are planning to start filming next week. We have ideas and are planning to create a story and add sequences to give relevance to the song. Such as a ‘15′ montage , a 15 day timeline montage and a performance scene in dark lighting. We will film around the school and around Market Harborough.
We are planning to start filming next week. First we need to make a storyboard to decide the type of shots that we will shoot, and that will take place and when. We are also putting some relevance or sycronisation into the song. So we will be putting a story to the words, for example 15 different shots for the steps, or someone walking with a close up of their feet.
