When i was helping Chris Appleyard out with his filming about 1 week ago down at the arboretum, which is a place in the school, i thought it would be a very good place to film some of our shots as it has a very suitable background for our music video. Me and Dan have already filmed quite a bit of footage there already, and tomorrow we are going to be doing some more filming there. In the future when we film there we have to tell our teacher if we can go to film down there, because we are suppose to fill in a permission slip to go film there.

We felt it was a good time to start filming during the half term because we could practice our filming techniques which will inevitably come in handy and will make it easier on me and Dan so we wont have to reshoot a lot of our scenes, which will be time consuming. So i felt it was key to get some practice with the equipment.
Me and Dan attempted to try starting our music video during the half term, but for some reason none of it really felt right, and did not work ata ll. So we have decided to alter part of our storyboard.

We had a go at filming during the half term, from this we learnt some essential technqiues. This resulted us in filming a practice session to get use to the equipment. We did try to film are music video at the beginning but it didnt work out so we are going to do some alterations to the storyboard. This learnt that we required some practice with the equipment and enabled us to practice before we get on and construct are music video.

At this time, we have not finished our storyboard as our song is roughly four minutes long. However, we have done roughly half of the storyboard we have done about two minutes of storyboarding. I feel that we are making good progress.

We are going to edit our song today as it is just a bit too long than intended. This is not going to cause us any problems because once we edit out part of our song, it would sound like it has not been edited at all. We are thinkin about near the end of the song to cut out a chorus near the end of the song. Or there is roughly a 15 second guitar solo we could edit out. Either one of these will not really cause us any difficulties.

Here are the lyrics for our song we are going to use…..
Oasis - Where did it all go wrong?
You know that feeling you get
You feel you’re older than time
You ain’t exactly sure
If you’ve been away a while.
Do you keep the reciepts
For the friends that you buy?
And ain’t it bittersweet
You were only just getting by.
But I hope you know that it won’t let go
It sticks around with you until the day you die
And I hope you know that it’s touch and go
I hope the tears don’t stain the world that waits outside.
Where did it all go wrong?
And until you’ve repaid
The dreams you’ve bought for your lies
You’ll be cast away
Alone under stormy skies
Alone under stormy skies.
But I hope you know that it won’t let go
It sticks around with you until the day you die
And I hope you know that it’s touch and go
I hope the tears don’t stain the world that waits outside.
where did it all go wrong?
SOLO
But I hope you know that it won’t let go
It sticks around with you until the day you die
And I hope you know that it’s touch and go
I hope the tears don’t stain the world that waits outside.
But I hope you know that it won’t let go
It sticks around with you until the day you die
And I hope you know that it’s touch and go
I hope the tears don’t stain the world that waits outside.

We decided to change our original song because me and Daniel felt it did not really have that edge, and we couldn’t really work with it. We also thought it was a bit too long as it was 7 minutes, so once we edited the song to about 3 and a half minutes, the song did not seem right.
We have decided to change the song, but not the artist. We are now using the song by Oasis called Where did it all go wrong? So me and Daniel thought that this was a much more suited song to fit around our ideas as it goes at a good pace for us, also the lyrics used are very suitable. The song was released as a radio single in the United States, but it was not released as a commercial single.
